Nick Filth of KYOTY, N’Zwaa, and Trembling Love continuing his almost incessant stream of albums has released the free third album for U N I S E X. Unlike previous albums under the U N I S E X moniker, sonically this EP dives heavily into repeating rhythms. Acid techno has made brief appearances in subtle portions of previous work, and in Trembling Love, but this EP is unabashed acid worship. Dark Berlin rumbling kicks and 808 hi-hats drive fuzzed out cloudy TB-303’s while haunting pads are played on a Prophet 5, Juno 60, and Pro-One. There is still the nuance of Aphex Twin style editing in the track “Ulllighhhttss”although the album as a whole would be far from described as IDM. This is cold and dark Techno.
